Description

Business Architecture focuses on the ways that the parts of a business function together to satisfy strategic and customer requirements. It provides the "blueprints", and the abstracted description of the business and technology components necessary to achieve the organization's purpose both now and into the future. 

Through business architecture, a systematic means of understanding how an organisation brings value to its customers, while optimising performance.

Business Architecture can be applied at any time to improve operational performance, but is especially effective for strategic business initiatives such as:

  • business mergers, integration or realignment
  • process performance measurement, assessment and improvement
  • realigning accountability within value chains
  • information technology systems development and deployment
  • Service Level Agreement and Management
  • outsourcing or insourcing
